Worms can process plastic, so what are we waiting for?
Can worms really process plastic? The production of plastic and styrofoam has increased in the last few years despite companies knowing that it does not degrade well or quickly. Something else must be done.
Meal worms actually eat styrofoam and process it in their bodies. The resulting worms are not toxic, though. The toxins are excreted. The exchange of a small amount of toxins compared to landfills full of styrofoam is a good exchange in my book.
